THANK YOU FOR THE EXTRAS. THE TRAVEL MUG AND THE ASSORTMENT OF PODS EVEN THOUGH I ORDERED PODS ANYWAY. THEY GIVE YOU A GOOD SELECTION TO PICK FROM ALL PODS THAT ARE AVAILABLE. THE TEA WAS FLAVOURFUL AND NOT BITTER. I WOULD HAVE NEVER THOUGHT OF BREWING TEA THIS WAY. JUST WONDERFUL!

Purchased this starter package during Boxing week and I am so glad that I did! This machine is replacing my Keurig as I find it brews a better cup of coffee at a lower cost. The starter package includes a nice variety of coffee pods and teas. Can't wait to try some of the other flavours and blends!

Bunn My Cafe - Trials followed by success |

The initial My Cafe unit I received had a strange metallic taste to everything and brews tasted like straw despite good coffee blends being used. I tried multiple flushes with water and vinegar to no avail. RI immediately sent out a new unit and arranged for pick up for the old. The new unit has no problems whatsoever. Hot water tastes, well, like hot water instead of some strange metallic brew. I've seen other people have had the same issue so I do think that at some point there must have been problems in the manufacturing process.
With the new unit everything tastes great. I would say that I still prefer to make my tea the old fashioned way as the water can be too hot for tea, but the My Cafe is excellent for coffee. The notes from each blend come through clearly and the brew is fully flavoured.
