Purpose of the Job
The Marketing Manager manages products,
promotions, pricing and distribution channels to build, maintain and expand relationships
that will allow the company to meet its sales and other objectives. The
marketing department has the following key functions: Graphic design, Product
management, New product development, Costing and pricing, Promotions, Public
relations, E-commerce and Event planning.
Key
Responsibilities
• Write marketing copy and business communications
(internal and external)
• Manage corporate communications
• Develop and manage marketing-communications
plans and budget
• Develop detailed product and/or
customer-specific plans
• Analyze industry trends and adjust short and
long-term plans, as required
• Oversee product management
• Plan and manage promotions to maximize R.O.I.
• Work with sales dept. to analyze and develop
distribution channels
• Measure and quantify results of marketing
activity
• Review all company activities as they reflect
on our brand
• Work with sales team to plan and execute
customer-specific activities to grow sales (ie. proposals, promotions)
• Create and maintain our corporate identity
and build Reunion Island brand equity
• Analyze competitor activities
• Write proposals and prepare presentations for
key accounts, in cooperation with sales
• Build enthusiasm internally for new products
and promotions
• Represent the company at pubic and industry
events
• Media relations
• Develop marketing-related Work Instructions;
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Thorough understanding of coffee industry;
• Thorough understanding of the principles and
practice of marketing;
• Excellent written and verbal communication
(ie. public speaking, copywriting and business documents);
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including
conflict resolution;
• Strong organizational and project management
skills, including proactive troubleshooting.
