The Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery of products over established routes - downtown Toronto. Responsibilities include the correct loading of the vehicle, recording of delivery information, accepting/making payments for goods, and ensuring overall vehicle safety. The Delivery Driver is expected to operate the delivery vehicle in a safe manner at all times, obey all rules of the road, and follow all appropriate company policies and procedures. Note that the cost of any traffic tickets incurred while in a company vehicle is the responsibility of the delivery driver.

·         Operate and drive delivery truck to pick up and delivery various products

·         Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle

·         Delivery products over established routes

·         Accept or make payments for goods

·         Ensure correct loading of vehicle

·         Operate vehicle in a safe manner, obeying all rules of the road

·         Comply with all company policies and procedures regarding the delivery of goods

·         Record information on pick-ups and deliveries and any problems encountered

·         Retain and hand in all fuel receipts to your supervisor at the end of each shift

·         Communicate with Customer Service as required

·         Load and unload products in a safe manner using provided tools as appropriate (dollies, etc)

·         Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles

·         Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate

·         Communicate effectively with the public, customers and coworkers both verbally and in written form

·         Assist in loading and unloading of vehicle

·         Perform periodic inspections before, during and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure

·         Delivery product and proper paperwork to customers in a courteous and timely manner

·         Provide feedback to supervisor regarding customer, mechanical or delivery problems

·         Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of shift (daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, etc)

·         Perform other duties as assigned.

·         High school diploma

·         Valid Driver’s License

·         1-2 years experience

·         Clean Driver’s Abstract

·         Strong oral and written communication abilities

·         Exceptional organizational skills with task prioritization, multitasking, use of timelines and time management

·         High level of personal integrity

·         Strong work ethic

·         Professional/mature demeanour in stressful situations

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

·         Ability to work with little to no supervision

·         Positive team attitude.
